ADHD & NEURODIVERGENT
CLEANING SERVICES
Living in utter chaos adds extra stress to your life that you just don't need.
Like losing items frequently. If only you could live with a bit more organisation, how good would it be to not have to have a mad panic every time you leave the house when you can't find your keys!
Making a start on the job of tidying up or cleaning can be one of the big issues for with people with ADHD. But once you manage the motivational side of things there are still plenty of other blockers that make it feel like you have a mountain to climb.
It's not a lack of knowledge or know-how, it's the ACTUAL doing. People with ADHD struggle with their executive functioning skills which can mean there are struggles with;
Prioritising
Motivation
Keeping focus
Staying on track
Time management
When time after time you fail at completing a task such as tidying your house or keeping it tidy, it starts to knock your self-confidence and can leave you wondering why you can't do something, that on the surface everyone else seems to do without any issues.
Helping people that are struggling to manage practical matters, also find it benefits their
psychological and interpersonal functioning
Inconsistency is a common trait of someone with ADHD
Just because someone has seen you do the task perfectly well once, when you struggle to do it consistently time and again they may start to see you as lazy or that you just don't care. And sometimes this can cause issues in relationships, with parents or with friends.
What many people don't know is that ADHD is primarily a disorder of executive functioning and self regulation.
The ADHD mind goes wherever curiosity leads it and inconsistency is a hallmark of someone with ADHD, as is the lack of awareness of the passage of time.
How many times have you started a task, got side tracked and only hours later do you realise that the initial task has not been completed? Like you'd been sucked into a time vortex in your own world without knowing it.
